They are messing with Fat Tire!

Fat Tire Amber Ale, the flag-ship product from New Belgium Brewing Co. has changed after 32 years! FT_Can_Pint_2023_500x594.jpgNot only the can, bottle and packaging, but the brewing recipe.  The brewers decided that raw barley would reduce the carbon footprint and give the beer a more refreshing taste.  I am down with reducing my carbon footprint, but I thought it would be better to work remote, not change my favorite beer!

I will try a taste test with the old recipe side by side with the new version.  Luckily I still have a couple of cans of the original logo in the refrigerator.  I just hope they did not sneak the new recipe into the old package.

Reign_Water_Company_canned_drinking_spring_water.jpgI hope this is not a trend that is a race to find the most green, carbon neutral "beer" and end up with water.  Not that I have anything against water, I drink more water that beer, on the advice of my doctor and Canada.

I will try the taste test and update this post with my impressions.

alaskan-amber-label.pngAs of April 2023, I have moved on to another beer.  My current favorite is Alaskan Amber.  Talk about really screwing up my carbon footprint!  Sorry NBB, but you lost me as a loyal customer.  You should have just added Fat Tire Light.
